Broom Snakeweed is a small mounding shrub with excellent drought and heat tolerance. Often found in scrub oak grasslands where they receive part shade in excellent draining soil. Try planting with rabbitbrush, sagebrush, western wheatgrass, and your choice of wildflowers.
It is both extremely drought and cold tolerant. It enjoys full sun but is mostly found in dappled oak forest. Beautiful plants that bloom late Summer into Fall. Perfect for gravel areas, roadsides, or borders along walkways. Appears to have salt tolerance.
