(Apiaceae)
Growing on the edge of Aspen woods around 8,500 ft. with Erigeron, Eriogonum, Astragalus, Lupunis, Lathyrus, and Artemisia arbuscula. Extremely pungent fresh or dried. Would look really nice in mesic setting with Artemisia, Ericameria, and native grasses.
THE plant for Swallowtail butterflies, this is the preferred larval host plant for Papilio indra indra and is used by all other Papilios. Most lomatiums are excellent pollinator plants but Papilio indra has shown it will reject others and use graveolens.
