Lomatium grayi (Gray's Lomatium)

(Apiaceae)

Commonly found on rocky, open sunny hills around 6,000-7,500 ft. growing with, Eriogonum, Astragalus, Opuntia, and Fritillaria around oak covered foothills or sage steppe. Fragrant and edible with many different uses we recommend looking into. 

Excellent early season pollinator plant, especially for swallowtail butterflies. Would look great in most gardens.

Seasonality: April-June

Germination: 90 day cold-moist(32-36°) stratification in perlite or sand, or sow outside in the Fall to early Winter. May take two years to germinate but is less common.
