(Asteraceae)

Growing in wide variety of soils. I find it most sandy soils, cobble and clay-loam. Without ray florets it gives a unique but still vibrant yellow display. Exceptionally hardy and thrives in deep or shallow, fast draining soil. Easy to grow and an excellent addition to rocky flats, rock gardens or walls, and parking strips. A habit between mounding and sprawling and produces large quantities of flowers and seed but can be difficult to time for collection.

Collected In: Summit County, Duchesne County, Utah

Seasonality: June into August, keeps blooming or reblooms with autumn rain

Germination: No pre-treatment required, 30 days cool moist may improve germination. Sow on the surface or up to 1/4 deep then cover with a thin layer of sand.
